Late 1990s:

I was running on the rooftop track at the Reebok Sports Club when I heard footsteps behind me. It was Kevin Bacon, who looked determine to pass me. I refused to let that happen and we battled for several laps. Finally I tired (hey, I started before him!) and he passed me.

Kevin Bacon was working out at the gym in my apartment complex. I was tempted to point out how I’d now seen him in gyms in New York and Los Angeles (see above), but I figured he wouldn’t really care.
