I was waiting for friends outside legendary old-school West Hollywood restaurant Dan Tana’s last week when Chelsea Handler walked out with a group of people. As they waited for their cars (in typical Los Angeles fashion, they all took separate cars), Handler told a friend who was smoking to move away from her, saying it smelled. The friend shot back, “What about all the years you smoked?!” When the friends pulled away, Handler and a gentleman walked a few steps to a waiting chauffeur-driven Maybach. For the uninitiated, the car sells for upwards of $400,000. And I use the word “chauffeur” loosely — the unshaven guy was wearing jeans and a hoodie.
